Training Event Terms and Conditions

Workshop Eligibility

Each SJS workshop and training event is designed around a specific audience, to ensure that the material is relevant to the range of job titles and skill sets that would be expected to be present in the target audience.

Please review the workshop overview and recommended audience for workshops on the SJS Training and Workshops web page before completing registration.

Confirmation of Registration

Upon registration you will receive an automatic registration acknowledgement email. All completed registrations are pending until there is sufficient enrolment. Only then will your registration become confirmed.

SJS Solutions reserves the right to cancel workshops without sufficient enrolment and will provide at least 3 weeks’ notice prior to the workshop date. Please do not finalise any travel and accommodation arrangements until you receive a confirmation that the workshop will run. For workshops delivered “face-to-face” at a venue which is not your normal place of work, you are also advised to take out travel insurance as a matter of course to cover unforeseen events such as force majeure.

Cancellation Policy

Any cancellation by participants occurring 14 days or more prior to the first day of the workshop will be refunded – or a credit note can be offered in certain circumstances.

Cancellations made 13 days or less prior to the first day of a workshop will incur a penalty of 100% of the registration fee.

SJS Solutions does not record workshops that occur face-to-face, or online. Recordings of workshops cannot and will not be offered to participants who are not able to attend the workshop in full.


Payment must be made within 30 days of registration and/or no later than 14 days before the start of the workshop.

SJS Solutions can only accept bank transfers as payment for workshops.

Upon registration, an invoice will be sent which will contain all necessary payment information. Please inform your Finance Department that all bank charges are to be borne by the Remitter and that SJS Solutions must receive the workshop fee in the full amount.

Audio/Visual Recording Policy

As stated above, SJS Solutions does not record the audio or visual parts of any of our workshops for participants who are not able to attend any or all of the sessions.

The audio and/or videotaping of any SJS Solutions professional development workshop is strictly prohibited. Anyone in breach of this policy will be asked to leave without refund of participation fees.

SJS Solutions sometimes requests a photographic, digital, video, or film record of its conferences, workshops and other events. Whenever it chooses to make such records it will only ever make use of them for its own legitimate business and marketing purposes.

By registering for and attending an SJS Solutions training event, participants are deemed to accept that they may be included in such a recording.

In the event that the participant becomes aware of their image being used in a way with which they are uncomfortable, they should make representations to the event organisers.

Certificate of Attendance Policy

Certificates of attendance for workshops will be issued only to participants who attend all scheduled sessions.

Workshop Behaviour Policy

SJS Solutions reserves the right to refuse admission to the workshops if a participant’s behaviour jeopardises the safety or learning of other participants, workshop leaders and any SJS Solutions representatives.

In such instances, no refund will be forthcoming nor will the Certificate of Attendance be issued.

Personal Data Processing

I understand that SJS Solutions staff, affiliates or contractors may access, store, or process any personal data I submit to SJS Solutions UK Ltd.
In regard to the processing of my personal data, I understand that I have the following rights:
1.     Right of access. On written request, I understand that I have the right to see the personal data that SJS Solutions holds about me.
2.     Right of correction. I understand that I may request that SJS Solutions corrects the data it holds about me.
3.     Right to object to direct marketing. I understand that I have the right to ask SJS Solutions not to use my personal data for direct marketing purposes.
4.     Right to request that the processing of my personal data be discontinued, and my personal data deleted.
